Colbert Landings Colbert Lane Roadway Safety Survey

Dear Colbert Landings residents,

Flagler County is conducting a comprehensive review of traffic and safety conditions along Colbert Lane, with particular attention to concerns about speeding, walkability, and overall roadway safety.  Because your community is directly affected by these conditions, we are seeking your assistance in gathering valuable resident feedback.

To ensure that any future recommendations reflect the needs and perspectives of those who live along Colbert Lane, we have developed a brief online survey.  We kindly ask that you share the survey link and information with your members and encourage them to participate. We have also developed a speed limit map for the road to help give some perspective to the community.

Survey Highlights:  The survey addresses topics such as traffic speeds, pedestrian safety, crosswalks, and potential improvements (e.g., speed limits, lighting, sidewalks, bicycle lanes). Responses will help guide engineering assessments and inform potential changes to speed limits, pedestrian crossings, and other safety features.

The survey is open to all residents and users of Colbert Lane and the general public.

Background: Recent concerns from residents and ongoing feedback about speed limits, pedestrian crossings, and roadway design prompted this review.  Our engineering team has assessed the corridor against current standards and identified opportunities for improvement, including options for adjusting speed limits and enhancing pedestrian safety.  Your community’s input is essential to ensure any recommendations are both effective and responsive to local needs.
